what is the difference in distributor rotors
I am trying to figure out the difference in two distributor rotors that are listed for my 82 911sc. The rotor I bought looks like an ordinary rotor. Part # W0133-1638222. The rotor that was installed looks a lot different. Part # w0133-1628124.
Does anyone know what the difference is? I am having trouble setting my timing. Just wondering right now, I haven't tried the original rotor since engine rebuild. Thanks |

The W0133-1638222 is a rotor for a 78-83 Porsche 911 SC or 86-89 911 Turbo. its a Bosch #04 017. Should work. Post a pic of it.
The w0133-1628124 is a rotor for a 76-85 Porsche 911 Turbo. 3.3 Engine only. This one shouldnt work... unless your car is a turbo. unless the Euro cars came with a different dizzy... Ill let the experts chime in. Pending the euro clarification, Id buy one from our host that is for a 78-83 SC, 86-89 Turbo sold by our host if you arent sure. Always good to have a spare in the glove box. Part number 930-602-902-00-M14. Pelican Parts - Product Information: 930-602-902-00-M14 $6.50 from our Host.
