fact 901 alum intermediate plate fit 71 911

Trans axle ? Getting ready to rebuild and have old aluminum 901 case any reason I can not use it to replace the mag plate in the 911 case and save some $. Any other parts I can swap to increase strength? Thank You.

Absolutely a different thickness, so you cannot use it.

Out of curiosity, what are the serial and type numbers stamped into the cases you have?

Well so much for that. I will have to check #'s aluminum case it's in a pile in storage. I don't imagine you care about 911 mag case #'s?

#'s from 901, 902, 905 & 911 cases are useful. Not so for 915 & later at the moment.
Cast in date codes are also useful. Just trying to determine the highest serial of each type, and a few other things.
