a/c compressor
 

on my 1976 911s, the compressor is mounted on the rear close to oil tank, is this correct, or its a after market installation, pictures I have seen show it mounted on the left, also the mount for compressor, there are two, cannot figure how the mount to the engine is attached, any help is appreciated, Norm

That's either an SC or an air pollution compressor you see in pictures mounted on the ignition coil side. I've never seen the A/C compressor mounted any place but on the oil reservoir tanks side.
