What to do when a timecert backs out?

Hi,

What is the best course of action when a timecert backs out when removing a fastener? Can it be replaced with the same size timecert? A "bigcert"?

Help...

Thanks,
Charlie

PS. It's for an exhaust stud.

if it just unscrewed, install a new one. if the threads pulled, you will have to go oversize. a 10mm timesert and a 8/10 stud maybe. vw shops use a thicker insert that is 8mm inside. it can be shortened because they're kind of tall.

Thanks John,

Fortunately it just unscrewed. I'll try a new one with some heavy duty loctite.

Thanks!
Charlie
