My headlights on my newly aquired 1975 911S won't shut off. It was suggested that it was the turn signal/high beem switch but after replacing that, they are still on. They shut off when the car is not running, but the second you start it, they are on. Maybe the light switch itself? The interior lights work correctly. Any ideas?
Forgive me if this is a "newbie" question. My name is Ed...and I am a 911 newbie! Not really. Actually, this is my 3rd but I could afford to take my first 2 to the shop for repairs BEFORE I HAD CHILDREN!!! -Ed |

It sounds to me like someone may have "hot" wired your lights that way. Here in Canada as of 1990 all new vehicles have "daytime running lights" meaning they come on whenever the key is on. The PO may have done this to yours?
