My car enrichment does not work? If I turn key on and hot wire solenoid it works great. The car starts great cold if I do this. So what do I need to check to fix it...Thanks in advance..Matt
PS. Warren Your awsome recurve and pump enrichment. Car runs 100% better than before...

I think the problem might be somewhere between the thermo-time switch and the relay.

The thermo time switch is located on the crankcase breather cover and is fed by a yellow wire which branches of the starter solenoid.
1. Check for current when cranking over. If there is a current going in, the thermo time switch will ground the red/black wire for 1-2 seconds on a cold engine. As it is a thermo-time switch this is dependend on the temp of the engine. No grounding: -> probably time to replace this switch.

If this is all working out check the starthelp-relay. This is a round black relay on the left side of the engine compartment.
2. Check if there is +12v at terminal 30 (with contact on). If not check fuse nr.2 on the small fuse box in the engine compartment.
Check for +12v when cranking the engine at terminal 86, if not there might be some broken wire
If this works out check the relay itself by putting +12 at terminal 86 and grounding terminal 85. No click -> replace relay.

Terminal 87 of the relay supplies the cold start valve with current.

Good Luck

Peter has given you the correct basic info, although loose/corroded connections, or cracked wiring is also possible at the starter solenoid or Thermotime Switch. The following diagram has the exact same solor coded wiring as your car. The pertinent items are ... #12 Cold Start Valve, #14 Thermo-Time Switch, and #52 Round Relay on the left-side engine compartment console with fuse box, Voltage regulator and CDI-unit.
