Mont-Tremblant Track - go there if you can

Hi there,

I just spent three days at the Mont-Tremblant road course. What a fantastic track. I highly recommend who can make the journey to do so. It would be more fun if I knew French, but oh well.

I ended up replacing the two rear rotors and the left caliper in order to get the car to brake straight. I had purchased this car from jhelgesen, and so far it has been a blast.

After three days it is now time to change the oil, front pads, and a have it take a bath. Then onto NHMS with my son.

Video link to a couple of laps at the track.

Cheers

Cheers !

I wish I could watch that but it buffers every 5 seconds. I've been there in '68. Looks different, of course.

How is that you can run w/o gloves? I always wore red gloves so other drivers could not miss my hand signals. And the face visor, wait until something flies into your eye, dark glasses or not.

I got about half way thru and the video quit.
Looks like a fun time.
I've got to try one of these DE's some time before Alzheimer's kicks in.

Used to live in Montreal, I'm so ancient that I actually saw a Canadian Grand Prix there. Always wanted to take a drive on that track, it's a great setting with very interesting turns and terrain.....lucky you, Cheers.

Thats a great place, have many fantastic memeries of that track, I did the 5 day Jim Russell school and then went back for 4 lapping days, did both the short and long track, but never the long track on the lapping days probably cause of the super long straight sections. La Diabla was my favorite corner, down that hill, lift and back on through the corner was just too cool, closest thing to it was coming out of Little Indy (banked) then down the elevator shaft at Seattle, when I got my own open wheel cars my local track was flat, exciting in its own right but nothing like a natural terrain track. The people were great the track was the best, I don't take many holidays but my time at Tremblant will be with me always. also a pretty part of Canada, glad you liked it, going back in 6 years when my son turns 16 so he can do the school

Just came back from three days with Northeast Region. One of my favorite places in the world -particularly during the Blues festival.

Yes, the Blues Festival was an added bonus. Some very very good music.

And it's free... Well I guess, not exactly, when you factor in the plane ticket cost from the big island :eek::eek:

"not exactly, when you factor in the plane ticket cost from the big island "

I guess I should clarify that I am Australian but live in San Antonio TX -- still along way from Mt Tremblant but not quite as far.
