Anyone able to direct me to a great dash repair facility?

Is the dash vinyl or leather?
If leather, there are a couple of people on this board who have done this before. Jack Olsen is one of them [Jack is a bona fide Pelican stud].
If vinyl, which is what the great majority are, it might just be looking like a dry lake bed. If it is badly cracked, the best route is replacement. Two choices here - you can look around for a used dash in decent shape, or lay out the bones for a new replacement. Pelican stocks them.
There is a good tech thread on dash R&R at http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/Forum3/HTML/010156.html

he can repair leather, vinyl, do reconstructive work, etc... he's in atlanta and does tons of work out of town. he can also explain to you all possible options for restoration.

good luck-

Check out the prices & service from all sources you can find. Definitely check with Pelican Parts. It's not worth the time to try to wait around for a good used one. Even after you buy it, it's still a used one, & it will still cost a decent amount. Another source for getting your current dash rebuilt is Just Dashes. They're on line at . They will take your old dash, strip it, replace the foam & vinyl & guarantee it for as long as you own the car. Prices range around $450 to $500. It could be that Pelican Parts stocks dashes from them for resale. Another avenue is getting a dash cover for around $90. They are plastic & actually don't look too bad. Unless you know where to look, & take the trouble to, you won't notice the difference. Another thing is that replacing the dash is a big job. You should take the windshield out & maybe remove some of the stuff in front of the dash to get to the nuts to remove it. Before you do anything, order Wayne's (Pelican Parts) book "101 Projects for you Porsche 911." Project #67 describes dash replacement.
