Making early CIS work on a Late 3.0

Hello all,
I have a complete late 3.0 cis motor I plan to put in a 914-6 conversion. The late motor has all the Lamda stuff I don't want to use. I also have a complete '74 CIS system off a 2.7. The question is can I merge the two systems to get a "simple" setup. I'm thinking of using the basic air box from the 2.7 and putting the fuel distributor and injectors off the 3.0 on it. I need to measure the parts between the two but I was hoping someone had done this or had some ideas of the pitfalls. I guess if this dosn't work I can go to a 78-79 system. Thanks for the help.

TC
