Loose Wire found

I just finished putting on new oil return tubes and adjusting the valves when I found a wire (Blue with 2 Yellow strips, female connector) stuck under the air conditioning compressor. As far as can tell it wasn't attached anywhere before I started. I know that it doesn't belong to the compressor but a part of it was squashed between the compressor and mounting bracket. Does anyone have an idea what the wire is for and where it should be connected to? It comes down the right side of the fan. Thanks

Bruce,
Need the model and year of your car to help track this down.

This looks like a job for the SCWDP!!
Being a lowly Carrera pilot, I checked the SC elec diagrams right here on Pelican at http://www.pelicanparts.com/911/911_Parts/911_electrical_diagrams.htm
No sign of a blu/yel/yel conductor anywhere. Best bet is to find someone with an identical car to take a look around the compressor area for you rogue wire.
Good luck

Not the right colors, but there are two wires on my SC running to two separate sending units on the right side cam chain cover, just to the right of the fan facing the front of the car. You might check to see if either of these on your car are disconnected.

The only other wire in the area besides the compressor clutch wire is the pair of wires (mini-harness) running to the AAR, which does not sound like what you are looking at.
