Wheel refinishing in Bay Area?

My two rear Porsche 993 18" wheels are peeling like crazy and I need to get them refinished.

Is this something I can DIY, or do I need a good wheel refinishing shop? If it's the latter, can someone recommend a good shop in San Jose, Santa Clara or somewhere nearby?

Pic of wheel showing peeling:

You can try Right Way in Walnut Creek. Always good reports on their work.

It's a 40 mile trek each way but I believe I've heard of this place before ("There is a great place in Walnut Creek, but I don't remember the name!").

There is another place within 5 miles of my house but I've only heard horrible things. Hopefully Rite-Way will work out.

Thanks!

Here's a thought for you. When I had my AMG wheels on the Mercedes I own start to peel their coating, I had Right Way strip all the coating and polish the alloy wheels. The end result looks much richer than coated, and you never have to worry about peeling again. You will need to spend a few minutes a couple times a year giving them a quick rub, but not much more.

you might try Wheel Techniques in Santa Clara. I don't know about refinishing but they painted my RS America wheels and did a great job.

Wheel Techniques refinished my Fuchs after they took an unexpected beating from an off at Thunderhill (T8) a few years back. They did a great job.
