1 Short Valve Cover Stud?

Hey all -

Adjusted my Valves this weekend and put the Valve covers back on.

One of the Exhaust (bottom) Valve Cover Studs is a lot shorter than the others. The tip of the stud does not stick out of the nut - but I was able to torque it up just like the other studs.

Is this unusual / a problem?

I did not notice if it was short before I took them off.

It is not unusual for a stud to come out when when removing the nuts, they shouldn't but it happens. For some reason you had one replaced with a shorter stud. If it is on there snug and not leaking, I wouldn't worry about it. Next valve adjustment buy the correct length stud and replace.
