Where can I get a R12 recharge near DC?
 
Have some minor upgrades (barrier hoses) and electric fans. Don't have the funds for a full upgrade right now. Just looking for a quick R12 recharge in the Washington DC area. Ideas?

Other than the Yellow pages or googling 'porsche repair' in your area, if your Porsche Club member (PCA.org) you could review your local zone monthly rag or call your local zone tech rep.

Any boneyard should have some. They pull it out of old cars before crushing. It's in the $3-$4 range these days.

Are you still allowed to use R-12 in the U.S.?

Yes. You just can't produce new R-12. Reclaimed can still be used.
