Wheel Nuts For Cup Wheels
Hi everybody.
I have just purchased some cup wheels to fit onto my 86 911 and would like to know if the standard wheel nuts will work or do they take a different type. I have not got the wheels yet but thought I might need longer nuts |

You will need adapter/spacers, roughly 1" on the front and 2" on the rear.
The offset on the cup wheels is different than the Fuchs, phone dials, or whatever you have. If the lug bolt on the adapter protrudes about the same as with the Fuchs, the standard lug nut is OK. |

The lugnuts are the same but, as stated below, you willneed spacers/adapters to make up the difference in wheel offset.
here's my SC with 16x7 and 16x9 Cup wheels on 205/245 Fuzion tires. I installed Boothe bolt on adapters to fit the wheels. 1 inch front and 2.75 inch rear. The adapter bolts to the factory hub and the wheel bolts to that, giving you plenty of thread for the nuts. ![]()

Excellent!
Take some before/after pics if you can. Tire sizes in 17 inch are easier to find than 16 nowadays.
