Previous Owner
Morning fellow Pelicans, I recently bought my '77 911S here in Canada - just outside Toronto Ontario. It is in very good condition - absolutely no rust and in excellent mechanical condition. The person I bought it from afforded a complete engine rebuild and the tranny was done not too long ago. Since I have owned it the suspension has been done - complete with new shocks (Bilsteins) front and rear. Since it was apart I also lowered it - with the bump steer kit. The gap between the tire and the fender was incredible. The distance from the ground to the bottom of the fender lip originaly was 25+ ins. Now the car sits at 23 1/4 ins. I am in the midst of replacing and refurbing the interior - including the gauges - they are a little cloudy and the Tach sticks once in awhile. No cracks on the dash! Unfortunately the the front and rear window seals have shrunk to the point they are starting to leak. It is 35 years old and is still a beautiful car! Some TLC and it will be right back where it should be!
I am looking for information - this car originally came out of the Atlanta area. the car was built in Feb. '77 so am I think sometime in the spring of '77 it was delivered to a resident of Atlanta. In the late '90s this car arrived in Ontario Canada (I think). Anyone in the Atlanta area who may know some information I would appreciate it. I am searching from the Canadian side as well but no real luck yet. Thanks in advance! BTW - original colour and wheels! VIN : 9117201820 ![]() Last edited by Reifle; 07-22-2010 at 08:37 AM.. |

Beautiful, love those slim hips! Please don't get any ideas about adding SC flares, it's perfect.

You should post the VIN to increase your chance, and there is nothing "secret" about VIN, as they can be seen by any body walking by the car. Bonne Chance J.J. P.S. Consider putting your location below your Avatar

I am leaving this little gem alone - no flares! What I may do is 16 X 6 and 7 in. wheels with the appropiate tires. BTW - edited the original with VIN.

BTW it is a gem and you are correct not to play with the curves... play in the curves is totally encouraged ![]() ![]() ![]() Now you need a lift; Hemi Roadrunner Scissor Lift ![]()

I thought I would share a photo of my car as I found it with the PO. The car was on dollies and in a very well kept (heated and dry) garage! As you can see the gaps between the tires and fenders was quite significant. When I first drove it I was not too sure about the handling. When the changes were made what a difference!
I enjoy reading the stories here on Pelican and some of the mild to wild etc... I like my car reasonably stock. ![]() |

2200 including delivery & taxes (pre Trou de cul McGuinty HST damn *&^%$#... I'll be ok ![]() ![]() ![]() Best buy beside Das Babe. Use it all the time; last week I got a flat, jack her up and voilas took the tire to the garage, no wait. Sunday I installed sway bar in the front, the "welded" nut was turning with the bolt. Jack her up and 2 minutes later the nut and bolt were apart. It will pay for itself in no time. Are you coming Saturday, you can come to my place for coffe and look at the lift.

I still don't know what happend between 1983 and 2005 (got it in 2009) even though the car has never left Canada. She had 5 POs, it traveled fron Ontario to Quebec (where I think the conversion happened) and back to Ontario. Since I'll be her last owner, unless I move, she will be in Ottawa until I die ![]() ![]() ![]()
