Do Seats Have Part Numbers?

And if so, can you tell me where I might locate the number?

I have some leather seats that I believe are of '84 - '89 Carrera vintage, but I would like to know for sure before I sell them.

I looked around the underside on the seat frame and didn't see anything. Any idea how I might tell exactly what these seats were originally installed in?

Thanks,

JA

John, yes all Porsche seats have part numbers but like most parts the numbers do not appear anywhere on the actual part !!

Best way to identify them is to post a picture here - you will then get confirmation as to exactly which model they're from.

John, I would say that they're probably std (non-sports) seats from an SC.
I'm fairly sure that in the later cars the horizontal stitching did not continue up into the 'headrest' - it was plain.

Maybe one of Leland's SCWD team can confirm this ?
