My new 2.4S engine has stopped leaking
and now it is time to get to the track. Discount Tire has my new VictorRacers waiting for me. How do I heatcycle them to get optimum treadlife? No, I did not order them from TireRack and have the heatcycling done there. My Discount Tire shop matches Tire Rack prices and mounts the tires for free to PCAers. NO shipping charge either--sweet deal. Thanks in advance for the info. Bill 72T ps I did a search first and nuthin' came up. [This message has been edited by zotman72 (edited 06-29-2001).] |

Your suppose to get them to operating temperature and then let them cool, preferable off the car for 24 hours before using again. Without doing this at a track, it is hard to get these as hot as you need. Could be a good excuse to get out of a ticket possible. Find a vacant lot I suppose and do some skidpad turns.

What racers do is take them to the track and run them hard for a practice session, take them off the car and rest them horizontal overnight.
