Question Thinking of doing the pre 74 look on my 78, thoughts..opinions??

As far as new sheet metal, all I'm aware of is the longer hood. What other things should I know, and is this a good idea or a pretty involved project. Just thought it would look great with the chrome trim my SC already has.

Your car looks great. I would leave it as is!

Another vote for leave as is. However why dont you look for another P car. Man cannot live on 1 Porsche alone....

Hmmmm... another P car??? You may be on to something! I'll need to expand the garage first... or the Explorer could just sit outside, yeah that's it!!

Count me among the "looks good as it is" votes. But, of course, everybody here knows how much I hate the look of the early 911.

I vote for leaving it and finding an early car as well. It just strengthens the SCWDP!

Although there is good argument for backdating a car and it has been done with great sucess (Curts car for example) I think your car looks great as it is.

Not sure what happened there, but thanks for all the comments guys. That's about the quickest I've had an idea shot down, but I think you've got it right. I'm just having the bug to get another porsche, it's a terrible disease.

Billy,
The photo of your car could grace a Porsche sales brochure. It's beautiful!
Now, if you molest that lovely SC, you may get a "visit" from some members of the SCWDP.

I think that backdate is a great idea. Not for your car though.

Makes sense for a car that needs front end repair work.

I thought the SCWDP may have a say on this one Your right Doug, I won't touch the SC. Apparently this was an overwhelming bad idea!
