Not so good results from the Dyno...is my enrichment relay bad?
 

I took my 82 911 SC to ged Dyno'd today and, I didn't get to do any runs. We were trying to make sure the mixture was right first...it was a touch rich at idle and at full throttle it was lean. My mechanic was there, he thought it could be the module under the seat, he unplugged it and got the same results. I guess I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before and if anyone knows if the enrichment module attached to the lambda brain was bad or if it was the brain itself. Thanks for any help you guys can give!

If it ran the same with the little ice-cube relay unplugged, then it either isn't getting power to the relay, or the relay is bad.

If this is the case, then it will have the symptoms you describe because the control pressure will be off. The lambda system needs to be operating at least in the default duty cycle, (open loop) which I believe is 60% duty cycle.

Beware that the relay was superceded, and I've been given the wrong relay before even though it was the correct part number. So make sure once you install the new relay that it runs differently with it plugged and unplugged.

The relay recieves power from the same circuit as the dome lights, so if the dome lights don't work, check the fuse. It may be as simple as that. But usually they have the original aluminum bodied relay in there since new.

If the bentley manual is right the clock and glove compartment light or on the same fuse as the interior light, which isn't working but I haven't checked the bulb yet, but everything else is working
