Post waaaaayne....WE NEED A NEW CHAT ROOOOOOM....

Come on everybody....lets bug Wayne to update the Chat room software so people can actually go there and talk to each other.

Is there any particular reason why we can't have a normal chat room (real time like MSN or Yahoo) that a non computer dude like myself dosen't know about?

Cast your votes here guys....I will post this on the 944 board too.

Just what do you talk about in these "chatrooms" anyway?

"So I was like, talking to Heather today and she told me, like, that she *likes* Taylor. You know, like in a totally platonic sorta way, like she likes Britney Spears, but she doesn't *like* like him. Do you think these Capri pants make my butt look big?"

Something like that, only about Porsches and world domination, right?

You know, brainiac, the more you talk, the more it sounds like you "have a life" or something.
Some of us don't really have a life, and if they put in a chat room, I'd probably be hanging out in there all the time. And I'd be all bummed when everyone left.

Actually Kurt, I have a really cool new girlfriend that has been occupying all my time. Not demanding it, just getting it. That's nice for a change. She even went co-pilot to an SCCA auto-X with me just to see what my hobby was all about! Keeper. I have to sneak in my board time now, like right now. I'm supposed to be working on my roll-bar.

That chatroom sounds like a slippery slope to me. I don't need another distraction. Sounds to me like Kurt needs him a Honda Ho or two, eh? (or 3?) (Get some "type-R" stickers and cruise the mall parking lot after Fast and Furious gets out.) I feel for ya on the dry spell man. I took 6 months off after that Christmas nightmare my ex put me through. It's good to be GF-free for awhile. Enjoy the freedom. Even if it means going so low as to peruse Porsche "chatrooms" et. al. (just kidding)

I'm in for the chat room, also Obin has offered to host one, if somebody can get him the software...

As seen on the 944 side of the world:

I could host it too if nobody else feels like it. I have software that works reasonably well and is being used by some of the Rennlist contingent.

Listen here eh... I, aaah, don't appreciate all the comments about the Canadians eh.

I think a chat program, if it weren't too much hassel or pricey, would be a great addition to the board, even if only three of us used it.

Cheap and hassel free would have to be key though.

Perfectly good chat program available at www.all914.com ....

Click on downloads and get the chat.exe and the dll exe. There are some simple instuctions on the port #s and such.

We have been using it for quite awhile. Easy enuff fer Leland....
