100,000 Mileage Club

Well to today is the day and Ferdinand would be proud. It was he who stated these cars were built to be driven. My 72T just rolled the clock so to speak. I was on an elongated 2 day journey across Pennsylvania from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh via the old route 6. Plans for this week to drive the country roads and then attend the Pittsburgh Vintage Gran Prix over the weekend. I looked down just in time to take some quick action and pull off the road and into a small civil airfield. It was like a surprise birthday. I pulled out the camera and documented the moment with bug stains and road dust intact. I'm glad this one made it and is getting better with age and care.

Pls add your cars the moment they roll the dial. Document it and hopefully your driving day will have been as good as mine.

Drive em guys - Drive Them.

There doesn't need to be a reason. A garage is no place for such a fine piece of machinery.....

Ferdinand once commented at a PCA gathering that it was such a shame that the owners spent so much time cleaning their cars and not driving them.

They're made to be driven.

My 1988 944 had close to 287k
The Carrera has almost 263k...

Girt - I will look for your car at the GP. I assume that you hooked up with the Allegheny Region PCA and are parking with the rest of the Pcars. Let me know if you have not been there before, I can let you know how to navigate the city.

Are you referring to rt 6 across the northern edge of the state? It's a great road and definitely not the shortest distance between point A and B. Have fun, hope to see you on Saturday.

132,000 in my daily driver. I've had the car 2 1/2 years now and put on 25K. I found out the odometer was not working correctly and under recording the mileage. I found this out while having the speedo serviced. I picked up a ticket for triple digits on a back road. I explained that these old cars have very unreliable speedos. The officer was "nice" enough to write me for only 31 over the posted limit. I asked the officer if he would like to go double or nothing, if he could catch me before the on ramp. He had a good laugh and said he would see me in court. The judge had zero sense of humor, even after the officer shared my little joke...
$500. but it was fun watch the odo click over to 132,000

My 75 has 255,000 on it.
Rebuilt at 130,00. 125,00 on the rebuild.

Sorry no odometer pics.

A little slow getting to the party.

There is 140K on Ruby, but I know she's got relatively low miles too.

235,800, no top end. Most of the tranny has the same amount of miles, the rest probably 225,000. I finally got the AX bug last year and happily bounce off the rev limiter, which was increased a bit by Steve Wong.

Bought in year 2000 with 150,000 on the original engine and (915) box. All original, but PO owned up to a "light top end" a few years beforehand.
Now on 188,157 with regular trips to the red line
