Injector Cleaner - 1989 Carrera

My local Porsche dealer techie has suggested using an 'old' product that VW is now starting to re-use in their new cars, particularly direct-injection cars. Apparently they are starting to see a build up of deposits on the injectors of these vehicles.
This injector cleaner comes in a narrow, light grey plastic bottle carrying the VW part no.
G 001 700 03 and mixes 10ml to 10 liters of fuel.
Does anyone have any experience using this fuel additive in their 911?

Paulo

Try "44K" made by BG if you can get it. Use with a full tank, run two tanks, then change the oil.

I would do it with the oil change after. I had a 928 that needed a periodic cleanout.

Is 44K better than Techron? I thought Techron was the best available.

I think 44K is around $25 here as well. I can get it at the local parts store, and at the Toyota parts dept. I sort of ignore the price though. It's worth every penny. I should add that I let the 911 warm up thoroughly, then drive the crap out of it, holding rpms high and giving it WOT all the way to redline in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. I do this several times during the tankful, and repeat. Do this perhaps once per year.

How does 44K compare to Seafoam?
