Feeler on sport seats before selling
Seats are sold.
Cross posted from the turbo section to get more visibility. What do you guys think I could realistically get for these 1979 sport seats? They are in fine working condition but need to be reupholstered/repaired. They show signs of wear from 31 years of use but the only real problem is the drivers seat outer bolster as you can see in the pics. Everything else could probably be cured by a professional who dyes/repairs leather. I'm thinking of selling these to fund some new ones. Thoughts? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Those are great seats. I like the look of a slightly worn leather seat, but I do think the driver's bolster should be repaired. Otherwise I say they suit an old well-used car perfectly.
I REALLY want sport seats in my next 911.

I think if I was selling, I'd be asking for about $600 or more - depending on how quick you want to sell.
Of course, if I'm buying, they're worth about $200. ![]()

I've see nice looking sport seats go for $1,000 - $1,200.

I think if the d. seat were more useable "as is," around $1000. But it really needs a fairly major repair, which probably means refinishing/redying both seat to make them match (a new panel isn't going to look great on patina'd seats). So I'd guess $700-800.

The problem is that perfect ones fetch around a grand....to repair these will take about $400-$600. So, there you are, in the 4-600 range for the seats. They really do look pretty nice...wish I had the cash.

Thanks guys. I was speculating $600-$700 due to them being earlier sports but needed other input.

Equality,
Are the seats located in Tampa? If so, I may have an interest. |
