Tire Size Question

I need to get new rear tires. I have 7x16 fuchs with 20 mm spacers and I have the 911 at factory height. Currently there are 225/50/R16's on there. Are there other options as to tire size. I would like a wider tire but have no idea if this is even possible due to the rim size. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I Think that's about the max for 7's Look for some 8's then you can ditch the spacers.

Get a set of 16x8's and move the 7's to the front.

225/50 is the best size for the 7 inch wheel. Any wider and you will get some sidewall deflection which will create handling problems or at least "nervous" handling.

As you know, I run 245/45 Sumitomos on my 8's but those are getting scarce in a brand that has a matching 205/55 front.

If you can find Fuzions ZRis for the rear I 'll give you a set of 205/55 for the front. 1 is basically new and the other has about 4-5000 miles on it.

Thanks Wayne. I think I have 4 205/50/16's in the garage right now. I emailed you BTW about the drive.
