Need Recommendations on Power Amp that Fits Under Seat

Any recommendations? Right now I have one under the passenger seat that is going bad. I want to keep the replacement in the under the seat position so I don't have to rewire. Right now running an Alpine with pre-amp outputs so should just be pull out old one, install new one.

Thanks for the links. Was also hoping to hear from someone that has an amp already installed under the seat.

I have an amp under both seats. I know it looks messy but I've been working on the stereo. It'll all be nice and clean when I'm done.

Under Drivers Seat (POWERED):

Under the Passenger Seat (NOT POWERED):

The one under the DS is a Sony and it runs all the speakers in the factory locations. The on under the PS is a MTX and it runs these subs:

It sounded really nice when it was all together. But now I'm taking out some of it to put in a different car.

Hmmm, right now I have a powered MTX Thunder. The connections don't seemed to be soldered well which is why I am looking to replace it.

The wires that connect to the amp are not soldered on mine. They are hooked up with the a phillips.

My loose connections are the pre-amp plug in RCA connections. Maybe I can open the amp up and fix the problem.

OOOOH I see now. It's internal. Yeah, I would give that a try first. Especially, if you like the amp. You could probably fix it up and you'd have more beer money!!

Kurt--
I've got a Kenwood amp under my passenger seat -- was installed by Rod Burch several years ago.

There are many flat plate amps these days. Choose one with good sound quality & reliability.

a/d/s is one of the many

You have a wide choice of sound power from the many hundreds of amps on the market. Under the seat, you're limited to the physical space, so you might start there. Measure the installation area, then work your way back to how much power you think you need. Find one that fits the space, weight, power and budget requirements.

FWIW, I'm installing a modest Alpine FV-240 (I think) as we speak.

Weber is providing some pretty good sound systems for 911's. Can recommend the six speaker system with K&N amplifier.

I looked again. It's an Alpine MRP-F240. I snapped this pic before the seat went back in.
