CIS to Weber conversion question...

Guys,

I am gathering up the last bits to put 40 IDAs on my 2.7 CIS and I cant seem to find in the manuals the throttle bracket part that mounts to the front of the engine near the bell housing area for the throttle linkage. I am trying to figure out if the CIS one will work with the Webers or do I need to start looking for one?

Thanks in advance!

You don't need the CIS throttle plate. You go from the bell crank though the engine tin to the swivel mounted on the weber intakes.

If you look at the manifolds, there is a post on the inside forward runner that will hold the bellcrank. that connects the throttle rod up frome the forward engine tin. That's all you need. you can remove the throttle console as it is not needed.

Scott,

Thanks for your reply. OK I seem to remember this setup now. So I assume I will need a longer linkage arm?

Nope, same one.

I don't have the manifolds in hand and could not see this in the parts pics....

Thanks!
