Bosch Ignition Wire Set - Opinions
Has anyone put in a Bosch Ignition wire set? I'm needing to replace my original BERU wires, and had a bit of sticker shock when I saw the price.
Looking at the alternatives, and came accross the Bosch's (W0133-1601992). One apparent difference is they are missing the wire holders/dividers...but I may be able to reuse the ones there...

I hope you are buying them in the US... They were double the price at my local "friendly" shop in Ottawa.
I got those to replaced the original one (kept them anyway). Off course the Red one give you a couple more Hp's ![]() ![]() ![]() Pelican Parts.com - Clewett Engineering Ignition Wires

thanks JJ...those Clewitt's are very nice wires I'll look into them. The Bosch are just so much cheaper then the rest, at around $30 for the set for my '86, so I am suspicious

Yeah, I did not think Bosch would have anything at around $5 a piece except for Spark plug...
Speaking of Bosch, Last night I download their "Light'Em Up" Apps (free/$4.95 for the advance function) for my Iphone 4. It's a Dyno that give you acceleration time, G's force (Lateral/Acceleration/Braking) and calculate the HP at the Engine or Wheel. Can wait to try it with Das Babe. http://www.ligh****p.com/

I tried a set of Bosch plug wires, car ran so poorly I had to put the old wires back on until I could get a new set of OEM Beru.
I have no idea why the Bosch performed so poorly, nothing else was changed. Of course, YMMV. Jerry M '78 SC |

Do yourself a favor and keep all the dividers from your Beru's. Clean them up and use them, don't throw them out like an idiot (me). IIRC, they're kinda expensive to replace.
Can't give you any feedback on the Bosch. There's several threads on wires if you do a search. I went with the Magnacores and am happy with them.

If you go with the Clewett Engineering Ignition Wires, you will need to drill out the dividers a bit as the wires are a bit thicker. Just increase the drill bit size slowly until you found the right one.
