Piaa
Has anyone ever had a set of the PIAA replacement bulbs? They are arond $60.00 a pair and I was wondering if they are worth the money. Or if I should try something else to get brighter lights! Thanks

Got a set of the PIAA super whites in my H4's on a 73 911. They are very white (not blue), and do light up the road better than the original H4 bulbs that were in the assemblies. I didn't get the high wattage PIAA bulbs either.

The PIAA Super Whites worked very well with my H4s. They were much better than the old sealed beam units. Not as bright as the $$$ xenon ones, but for $60 I think they are worth the money. I think the Platinum ones are supposed to mimic the xenon lights even more?

PIAA suck. They tweak the filiment windings to get good readings on lite meter. DOT lens also caaa caaa. I got good Cibie lens and real bulbs from Dan Stern Lighting.1-303-285-3482 ex4983. Hit his site at lighting.mbz.org for a quick education.

I totally agree with RolinLB. "friends don't let friends install rice bulbs!"
