door locks
Hello, what is the consensus on winter door lock lubrication and protection. This is for a 88 911 with auto locks. All comments greatly appreciated.

I just put some thin oil on the key now and then to keep the lock moving.

White litium in a spray can, they usually come with a tube that presses into the button nozzle and fits inside the key slot. I use the same stuff on the hinges and latch.

I use a graphite lubricant. It comes in a spray can and goes in as a liquid with the graphite in suspension. I think the liquid evaporates and the graphite sticks around. It seems to work well in Vermont and it gets pretty cold up here.

Use graphite. Oil lubes will attract dirt and gum the works eventually
