Front Shock tower bolts - spinning away

I have rennline monoballs - those were easy to torque with their tool that holds the monoball. Now I have a different problem. How do you stop the top nut/assembly from spinning when you try and torque it?



I can't be the first person to ever have this issue

Did you try an air impact wrench?

Not sure what inserts you have, but they look like externally adjustable Konis.

The directions that come with the Koni sports warn against using an impact wrench.

I'm not sure why this is, as I always used an impact wrench before I got the sport yellow Konis.

Additionally I use Locktite on the threads.

I stacked some flat washers under the tanged washer, the one with the side cut off, which got it high enough to barely get a wrench on it. Actually, I thing I made a tool out of some 1/8" sheet steel with hack saw and file. It's been a while, anyway, if you can hold that tanged washer, it holds the stud and you can tighten the nut.
