82 sc tach

need to remove my tach odo quit working, i know it just pulls out, do all the wires on the back just pull out or screw off, just making sure nothing needs cut

Nope, no cuts. They are either spade connectors or light assemblies. Be sure to pull out the entire thing and not just yank the wire out of the assembly. I usually use a dull knife to wedge the assembly out of the hole. It's always a tight fit.

Yes, everything just pulls out. The lamp sockets will need a thin edged screwdriver to pry up. They are a snug fit. Make sure to keep track of the terminals the wires came off of.

Hints:

Remove the clock first, then reach through and push the tach out.

Be SURE to draw a diagram and label each wire color at each location. - Otherwise it can be a mess trying to figure out where everything plugs back up.
