Question about turbo wing

Does anyone know if there exists a wing that will bolt on to a turbo or carrera deck lid whose base(of the wing only) is larger then the standard turbo wing. I'm looking for a wing whose base (the area that bolts on to the deck lid) would extend almost to the base/rear of the lid. The DP 930 or 935 wings that are fiberglass are great but they are also 1 piece with the lid built in. Looking for a separate wing that attaches to the lid and extends almost to the bottom of the lid. Ideally it would be a larger turbo wing or a dp 930 wing (if they make one) that bolts to the lid.

Any help would be appreciated!

Are you trying to fit an extra large intercooler under decklid?

You may want to post this over in the Turbo forum as I'm sure somebody there has done this.

not exactly. I'm doing an ls1 conversion. I want to find the best wing to place a radiator in the rear. I need room. I want to vent out the back/bottom of the lid. I want to give it a try before I throw in the towel and put one up front. I plan to do no hacking to my car. I have an extra lid to cut if need be. The one piece fiberglass lids/wing combos may work. Just not sure. I really want the fans from the radiator to pull downward onto the rear of the lid and out the back, never entering the engine compartment. I may have to cut openings in the rear of a wing such as a 935 wing/dp 930. They seem to have the most space but no lid. (they are 1 piece). I would have to put some sort of barrier in one of those wings to keep the hot radiator air from entering the engine area. Not sure if it makes sense. This Martini could also work but it is way to big for my narrow body but the idea is there.

I found this thread in the turbo forum. You could try contacting the owner of the 934 copy to see where he purchased the rear wing.

Hey thanks. I have been leaning towards that wing. Its a DP 930 wing I believe. AIR sells them or ones really close. I really wish that wing would bolt onto the lid but its 1 piece. I want to incorporate the radiator onto the lid and under a wing. Also, not sure how that would look on a 89 911 Carrera that is not a wide body. I have not seen one on a narrow body. Would love to see one if anyone can find one.

thanks!
