Time for some work on my 911
 

I bought a 1984 911 Euro Spec almost a year ago for $12,000 with 82k miles. It has come time to put some work into the car the, make it look great and go faster. Here is what I have done and will do. If anyone can point me the right way in any of these projects it would help a lot.
Have done:
New light weight RS style carpet
Bursch Muffler
New seats

Future:
Cat Bypass
Steve Wong Chip
Air Intake
Turbo Tie rods
Tower Strut Bar

I would put the air filter system to the bottom of the list - performance improvements are negligible at best.
The turbo tie-rod ends are not a performance improvement and usually done when front-end issues surface, like vague steering, or looseness in the suspension. They are a more hefty version of the stock hardware.
The strut bar might be a worthwhile addition if you track the car at all, otherwise save your money, as the majority of the flex in the targa chassis is concentrated in the cabin area, between the wheelbase, not the front bulkhead.
That leaves the chip and the cat bypass. do the cat bypass first, it's the least costly and the most likely performance improvement. Your car will reward you with improved fuel mileage.
No experience with the chip, but plenty of positive feed back here on the forums.
I'm sure others will chime in to add to my subjective comments.

hey... what's that in the garage?

Do a euro premuffler with the bursch -
don't bother with a K&N or cold air intake - stock air filter is more than adequate (cut the air box down if you want more vroom vrooom sounds)

Do the wong chip after the premuffler - be sure and tell Steve you have a Euro car.

Strut tower can help with an open car - but I'd wait on the turbo tie rods when you can do a full front suspension rebuild and only align once... (and then I'd do bushings, etc)
