Monterey Historics - Info needed

I know this is OT, but the OT forum is so OT, I figured this would be the best place to get some decent info. I have a set of paddock passes for Sat. I have been to Laguna Seca for CART races, but not the historics. Any advice fromthe old hands who have been there? I am taking my young son, so I don't have a ton of time to mill around and get it wired, hence the request for advice. I was planning on getting there around 8 am, probably leaving once the fog burns off....and beat traffic back to Santa Cruz. Thanks Jack

Best advice if you are driving down from Santa Cruz is to watch out for the CHP speed trap on the 1 just south of Moss Landing where it turns into 4 lane. The CHP has a LIDAR SPEED TRAP there. And it is real speed trap and racket with 2-3 motorcycles and cars.
Ask me how I know!......don't ask me! Have fun at the races.....great time.
