No start 911sc?
Having problems starting 911sc. We removed the engine to replace oil pressure sensor. Engine started and sat a few days in driveway. Now won't start. Played around with wires. Pressed on the top wire connected to seloniod. There was a spark. I have know idea how to proceed. Any suggestions? Almost feels like there is tension in lines when you turn the key. Last time this was the problem I cleaned up the main ground wire and the car started fine. Not this time. . They key was in off positon. I wonder if there is a short somewhere.

Help coming.........

The weather here in Carmel, CA is too nice for me. It has been 60's to 70's during the day since I arrived 2 weeks ago. And they say that it is the normal temp.range they have here for the whole year. Hopefully you'll be able to fix the problem before I get back. Check the battery terminals specially the positive (+) one. I did not touch the (-) terminal of the battery but did disconnect the ground strap by the transmission mount. Is the starter able to turn the engine? Have Jack look at the car and he could easily fix it (he's good). BTW, I've never seen so many exotic cars in one place like here in Carmel. This is the weekend for the Exotic car show at Pebble Beach and car enthusiasts are here in town showing off their collection. See you in a couple of weeks. Tony |

Called Jack I think he is on vacation also. A friend borrowed my rims and tires to try and win the rtr autocross event. My car is sitting in driveway on 8 and 9's now. I like the look but will have to modify the oil lines even more.

You make it sound like it wont turn over. The yellow wire goes high on the starter and the yellow/ [B]lue stripe wire goes on the lower post. You should turn over if you have spark on the yellow wire when the key is engaged to start the starter.
Make sure your red and black wires are snug on the main selenoid connection. Bruce |

when the key is not turned I get some sparks when I push on the upper wire. This is the wire that slides on, on the top.
