Question headlamp trim ring question

Will a painted trim ring currently in use on H1s also work with H4s? I'm thinking of parting with my H1s to raise cash for 16x9 Fuchs... figure I'll replace them with H4s.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Cool

The H1's outer ring has 4 reflector adjusting holes in it.

The H4's outer ring has 2 reflector adjusting holes in it.

Good luck,
David Duffield

I'm actually referring to the trim ring which covers the one with adjuster screws. It mounts with a single screw at the bottom.

John,

If you are talking about the paintable trim ring that clips over the H1 trim ring (with 4 adjusting screws and one retaining screw hole at the bottom) and only has the single retaining-screw hole at the bottom ... yes, it fits over the H4 trim ring with the two adjusting screws. And, also the original 1965 headlamp assemblies in the ad photo below, too!
