Lug nut question
Ok, this is a major noob question.
Are these lug nuts standard? Will any of the replacements on PelicanParts fit? I don't know anything about wheel spacers and what model these are, so no idea if the threads are different. The car is missing some and I need to buy replacements. Thanks. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1281711517.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1281711531.jpg |
Yes, those look to be standard lug nuts for a 911 and replacements will fit. Regarding spacers, that would be an issue for lug bolts--longer ones needed for certain size spacers. If your current lug nuts thread down sufficiently to hold the wheel on the lug bolts you now have, replacement lug nuts will do just fine. I suspect the missing lug nuts were lug nut locks that had been removed.

I think the OE nuts are AL, they engage with a large number of turns, I would be careful with spacers. I use steel nuts.

If you care about looks: one new lug nut on each wheel will "stand out like a sore thumb". It would be better to buy used 5 lug nuts and put them all on one wheel with one left over (not to mention cheaper than new ones). Another angle would be to buy a set of factory locks. They don't do much for theft deterrence but will look original. If you are going new, get all 20.
Lastly: do you have spacers or adapters? |
