Porsche Museum Tips

Hello Pelicans-

I am in Germany and plan to visit the Porsche Museum, has anyone been there before? Any advice to offer? For the last ten days my family and I road bikes around Lake Constance. The roads are off the charts, perfect for 911's, wish I had mine here. The lake is only about 120K south of Stuttgart, so I plan to head up after we finish the bike ride. Anyone ever rented a porsche in Germany before, had this fantasy about renting one before I leave.

AVIS do them. You will need to be over 25 have your drivers licence for more than 3 years and you´ll need either a Gold Credit card or two seperate normal cards. Enjoy the Museum its all cool and pick up a copy of the Porsche Way DVD while you are there

Oh and don´t hire at the weekend as the price trebles. You can get a 911 for about 250€ a day during the week. Don´t believe the 179 etc etc offers. They have so many conditions your head will spin

I was in the Porsche Museum two weeks ago. It's a great collection and a great building. You can rent a headphone-set and listen to the story by each and every car or item.



I won't spoil the fun by placing nice pics.....

While you're in the neighborhood, the Mercedes museum is really worth the time. That is, assuming that you have already seen the Porsche one. Enjoy

Porsche and Mercedes Museums are closed on Mondays.

Worth seeing both of them.
