Newbie, want to say hi to everyone

Hi all, been surfing round here for awhile since I purchased my 84 Targa, wanted to say hi and show pics of my ride.
Just bought her 2 months ago I am third owner, 88k miles, targa has been recovered I had dealer to this to get the deal done, 915 shifts like a dream, I installed factory short shift kit. I lowered front end and installed bump steer kit (pics are before lowering). Paint is in ok condition 10' car..only flaws are spider webing in rear end i can live with this until can afford paint job, I dont want to get a cheap respray so gonna keep the way it is until she can be done right
This is my first p-car and I am having so much fun learning bout them and getting my hands dirty with her

Welcome and now for a couple of questions. Are the front tires sticking out past the wheel wells? If so you might want to ditch those wheels for something else. In the first picture it almost looks like someone has reworked the rear fender arches?

First and foremost, "welcome" to the Pelican flock.

You have good taste, since you got a Targa! Ha.

Is the interior black as well?

Good luck and have fun with your car!

Nice looking car. I'd keep an eye out for some decent wheels-BBS RS in gold would look nice. I'd also remove the short shift kit, that is a good way to accelerate the wear of any marginal components in your trans and cost you some serious $$ Totally un-necessary, IMO.

the tires do stick out of fenders bout half inch....they r gotti 16's...the fenders dont seem to b worked from stock at all

i researched alot before installing short shift kit and heard only good reviews from this site...never saw any post stating this would wear down tranny? anyone else care to chime in bout that issue....I really love the shifting improvement with the kit...this kit was factory option from porsche?

You'll be ok with the short shifter, just don't try to shift quick.

I see you have a set of munchkins that actually fit into the rear seats......for now. You'll have to go to a Panamera before too long though, LOL.

Nice car. Welcome and good luck. You will have a great time with that car.

Just be sure to ditch those wheels as soon as possible. You need a set of Fuchs. Yesterday. Then you be able to join the year 2010.

Best of luck with your great new toy.
