First off anyone that works on ward parkway on this board?
I get to look at this nice 911 (dunno what year it is..70ish?) every day and it makes me want to have mine going soooo bad!

Secondly I think I am having a couple 911 owners over to look at my car and mabey do some grilling out and if anyone else wants to come by and look at my project and give some advice and talk some Porsche talk drop me a email or PM...plannin on this Sat.

I'm not currently in KC - I reside in ole' St. Lou- Go Cards!!!

But I am going to be in KC next thurs thru sat with time to kill while the wife works. I am not able to take the 911 this time, but I would love to talk P-cars for a while.

Wow! You make the fourth person I have seen in the KC area use this BBS....It won't be long until the KC following is as big as the Pacific northwest, and California....NOT!

Anyway, I'm not the one driving on Ward pkwy, but am glad to see another KC person on the BBS.

Would love to see your project, but the weekend of the 28th and 29th I'm going to be at the races (I know NASCAR....everyone go ahead and flame me..)

I'm not in KC, but we just bought our 79 targa a couple of months ago in Lawrence. It now has a happy home in Wichita.

I live out west a bit....near Manhattan, but I would like to see your project some time.... This winter will be my project time too....too many projects... It would be nice to get together with the pelicanheads in the area! CS, do you belong to the Wichita region PCA? That's a good bunch of guys! Its about 2 1/2 hours for me to make it to the meetings, so I don't get there very often, If you needed anything for your car... thats the group to talk to! Brian

Well, I suppose it could be my driving down WP, usually only on Friday's though. I have a metallic brown 78 Targa and live in Prairie Village, so we're probably pretty close, I may try and stop by to see your project. BTW, what is your project?

Brian, I haven't linked up with the local PCA yet, but I think I know where their meet. I'll probably get the year finished with the local SCCA (running a supercharged miata) and start deciding how to spend less of my time at work and more with car clubs.

I look forward to meeting local PCA people. Do you have any current e-mail addresses for them. Their web page is out of date and the links don't work. I've started thinking about another porsche for the family and their contact would be useful. It will probably be another SC and will absolutely be a coupe.

Chester replies to his mail some, but not that quickly. I've not had good luck emailing any of the members, but it's been a while since I've tried to.

I'd suggest going to the meeting. I believe they're still meeting at Brews Brothers the first Tuesday of each month. I can check that if you like.

CS, I am at work right now...but I have an e-mail contact for the group at home. I will find it and send it to you. I went to my first SoloII this last weekend in Salina...had a ton of fun... I may be hooked. Definitely lots cheaper than DE's but not as much seat time! I think we need more of a presence at the local Solo level... I was the only Porsche there. I bought my car in Wichita...in fact it is the car that is marked "sold" on the PCA website. I will get you the e-mail address tonight, Brian

I went to my first SoloII this last weekend in Salina...had a ton of fun... I may be hooked.

Brian, I'm sorry I missed the Salina event. I've only missed two Salina events in the last 5 years. I had a friend there in a camero getting some tranny testing and he told me he saw a Porsche that he hadn't seen there before. Hope I get to see you at the next one. I haven't talked my wife into much soloing with the targa, but she did get 3, 20 minute sessions in at Hallett last weekend with the Alfa club. We're long time miata people and track time with this beast has a bit of a learning curve. I'll be in the silver miata up there for now, maybe I can get Susie to take the good car.

Do you guys have a local (Wichita,KC) recommendation for porsche mechanic? I think we have a first gear syncro that will need delt with eventually.

Heya! I live in Lawrence and would like to make your gathering, although my p-car is not currently driveable because I dropped the engine last night. If I take the rest of the week off maybe it'll be ready...NOT! Anyway, I think I'm going to the Topeka Air Show this Saturday morning...what time did you have in mind for the Overland Park P-Party?

I'm in, although I'll have to show up Porscheless. Mine is in the middle of a rebuild and in 10,000 pieces in my garage.

Would like to meet Kurt and the others, as well as look at E's project.

E, I am on the Parkway everyday. It might be me giving you the inspiration to get your P-car on the road. I would love to swing by and see your project and talk some P-stuff. I am new P owner 80 911 Mocha Brown Targa. I will be return from out of town late Saturday afternoon. Maybe I can swing by if it is not too late. Keep me posted.
