Help me interpret the POC rule for 911

6.18
No fuel system components including the fuel lines shall be exposed to the passenger compartment. All fuel system components must be behind a metal firewall. All high pressure lines shall have appropriate fittings.

I read this as no fuel lines in the tube. Mainly because the tube has opening which are exposed to the passenger compartment.

So running mild steel pipe which exits in the front and back would satisfy this rule.

What do you think?

SCCA_ITA,

Rather then get peoples opinions on what that rule may mean,
My suggestion would be to call Sergio Nardi. He is the Racing and Tech Chairperson and can answer any questions you have conserning the rules. His number is 562 694-3880.

When you refer to the tube, I am assuming you mean the central tunnel. Stock fuel lines taveling through the tunnel are allowed, the tunnel is considered the firewall.
