Can a engine miss cause a spun rod?
I ask because Ive got a miss at idle and I drove the car hoping to clear it out.. Its going to the shop for this condition as It didnt clear up.

You more than likley have a fouled spark plug, bad pug wires or rotor cap.
If you had a spun bearing you would loose oil pressure and have an unmistakable knock. The engine would probably seize up at some point with continued driving. Opps reread your heading ( it's early ) No it shouldn't cause you to spin a bearing, especially on a flat six with the dry sump oiling system they have. Thanks, these engines are getting hard to find anyone that knows anything about them. I live in the Midwest...

First make sure all your plug wires are making good contact....snapped on the plugs and also on the rotor cap. If ones worked loose it cam cause a miss.
