O2 Connection?

After digging for vacuum leaks I found this connection, is this where my O2 sensor was plugged into at one time?
The wire color is green before the red wire is spliced to it, if it matters.
I do have an O2 sensor installed just not connected as also seen in the picture.
Thanks for all comments.

Yes, the green wire is typically for the O2 sensor. Maybe just crimp a matching connector onto the wire from the O2 sensor and re-connect it. Any idea on age/condition of your sensor? If not maybe it's a good idea to put a new one in.

If the 02 sensor is unplugged and the car is running ok (maybe not if you were looking for vacuum leaks?), connecting it will result in a rich mixture as the PO I am sure will have richened it up to compensate for the 02 sensor being unplugged.

If the car is running badly, typically lacking power and backfiring through the airbox then this could well be your problem.

Either way connecting it up and seeing will not cause you a problem, I would drive it too far if the mixture proves too be to rich as the unburnt gas will wash the oil off the bores.

Oops last paragraph should read "would NOT drive it to far"
