US market vs. ROW market.

Back in the day U.S. turn signals had to be red by law and the Euro lenses had to be amber. The amber lenses were easy to get so many changed them to get a little different look.

Thanks guys, I'm looking to buy this converted slant, how can I tell if it started off as a M491?

great resource for M491 info. Make sure to put your ride on the registry.

Run by a Pelican contributor. He helped me ID my M491 before purchase.

My 86 TL

Hi - I'd like to add mine to the string.... New to me in Oct 13 with just 47K original miles - I've replaced some worn or tired items - but she's mainly stock - with the exception of a set of locally sourced RUF 17" wheels - which really set off the look of the car... great thread...

They ARE the best and often the rarest by year. Speedsters being the exception.

'84 coupe with a '95 3.6. Last bit of the VIN is ES120517. Number 56 of 354 US coupes for this model year.

Slowly bringing it back to a stock look (anyone have any red bumpers or tail handy?), while upgrading the drivey and comfort bits.

Here's a few shots of the one I still regret not buying. I already had my coupe and couldn't afford both and was struggling with having to sell one to get the other. Plus, I'm not really a cabrio kind of guy, which was the only reason I didn't jump on this like a fat kid on a Smartie...

This one is a RoW Cabriolet with some other unique stuff like sport seats, factory tail and Carrera script delete, rear fog lights and a cool colour combo. I understand that it made its way back to the Fatherland.

Do 964s count?

Seems like these cars with front spoilers but no rear spoilers would handle quite strangely, no?
