Didn't all 964s have that automatically raising rear spoiler if they didn't have fixed one? Or was it option? I don't know..

Correct.

I was referring to the older cars that have rubber chin spoilers but no tail spoiler..

Looks great. Is that Cherry Red? Red piped sport seats are a nice touch

Patrick,

That car is stunning......do you know who makes that Valence please? Mine is silver and that would look awesome.

What kind of wheels?

Thanks,

Scott

Thanks Scott. I'm not sure about the valence. Body and paint were from the PO and nothing about aftermarket body pieces in my documents. The wheels are 18x8 & 18x11 Kinesis K18's.

The car's a blast. The 3.8 makes great noises and has serious grunt. Turbo looks and similar power without the anxiety or valve adjustments. I'm happy.

The documentation says it was a respray of the stock color, Venetian Blue. Paint code stickers are missing and I found conflicting info on the forum about that being a stock '84 choice. Regardless, the color was one of the traits that I found compelling.

Most of the info I have on it came from an issue of Panorama in the frunk. It was a feature car about a decade ago.

I believe the stock '84 color would have been Slate Blue

Patrick,
I was looking at your car before I bought mine. I got a good deal on mine, and it's giving me LOTS of projects to get her where I want her. If I had ended up with yours, I wouldn't have had anything to keep me busy. LOL! Love your M491. Especially the engine upgrade. I bet she flys. That's on the list of things to do to mine.

So here are few pics of my car as she sits today.

I bet it wakes it up! I loved the sound of the 3.6 in my 993. I had Fister Stage II mufflers and a Fabspeed bypass pipe.

Do you have a build thread? I'd like to get some information on what it takes to convert to a 3.6.

I don't have a build thread as I decided to go "turn-key". Steve Timmins at Instant-G did the conversion. He converted & installed the motor and added an extra oil cooler in driver's side fender. Very well done and no issues. He is very knowledgeable and provides great support.

There are some threads here on the conversions you can find with the search feature. Here is one you can start with:
