MFI INTO RSR!!!I am desperate I need HELP!

I set the MFI at 15 ° BTCD 4 cyl ...
As a result I had an enrichment at 4500rpm
Someone knows the difference there is in regulating MFI in a different position from FE(40°ATCD 4 cylinder)??

Best bet is to do all this on the Engine Rebuilding forum. You are in very specialized territory with this engine you're building, and the average Porsche do-it-yourself'er here is not going to be able to provide you with any help. I have some MFI experience, but it's at too immature a level to be of any use to you. You need very experienced MFI/engine building help / advice. Best wishes for success on your project, cyber.

I am not an expert here but I have read a lot of the MFI threads. I don't think the timing of the pump is causing your problems.


From the Technical Articles:

"... Porsche factory racers found that they could detect no difference in engine performance, no matter how the timing was set. I haven't noticed any difference myself in the adjustment, but I still set it anyway. Just a little tidbit I wanted to pass on. -Hans Achter"

I have also heard that the timing makes little difference.

That's why I used the smile.:) He was doing it more and more, if it was just occasionally, it is fine. I did not acutally think he was a jerk, just that he was making himself look like that to others. Besides, I have tried to give what help I can but you did not see that because it was in his other threads in the engine forum, early 911S board, and in this forum. He is doing fine now. The main thing was that he kept posting a new thread for the same question so all the responses were spread out. It is hard to help when everything is so fragmented.

As for his question about the re-phasing the MFI 360*, the answer from the Early 911S Registry board was that the pump turns 360* for every 720* engine revolutions. Therefore re-phasing the MFI will not effect anything.

He says everything is RSR spec.

I finally succeeded in setting up the car ...
I depleted the screw pump up bringing more MFIs to lean after 4000rpm I unscrewed the screw in place of the thermostat so enriching all ...
now is a bit fatter at 3000 rpm but it's ok ... thanks for all your advice seriously without it I could not ... now my car has 336hp at 8250rpm and 6850rpm 34kg/ma ...

Happy it all worked out for you. I believe you got and AFR instrument, and that helped. What kind did you get? Was there one in the dyno room
