I won't spoil it either, but will take this opportunity to say that the man in that photo has made one of the greatest contributions to our community of any member of all.

Mr. Clay has bailed me out on this forum more than once.
Sometimes answering my simpleton questions, many times just reading the responses for others.

The pic of Grady has been up on here before, so it was not too challenging. W/o seeing it before, I never would have been able to recognize him even though I have met him.

The thing is, if that was taken at Riverside, I was probably there outside on the esses.

Suspenders are just racing harnesses for those times when you're not in the car.

Sure a lot of spark plugs in a 917 engine. Good thing they stayed at 12 cylinders, and didn't build a lot of the 16 cylinder version.

I only guessed it was Grady because he has talked about his amazing familiarity with the 917 (and everything else Porsche) and the hint about him being such a resource for this board.

Seemed like a sure thing!
