Fuel hose locator

Ref my 73.5 911T CIS system. I finally found two of my gas leaks. Where can I purchase the high pressure fuel line that connects the fuel filter to the accumulator? It is about a six inch 90 degree curved metal line with the connector to the accumalor on the metal end and other is rubber that attaches to the fuel filter with a clamp. I did not see a listing from our host.

Stan:

I assume you have the old hose. The metal fittings rarely go bad. All you really need to do is bring it to a Hydrauic hose shop in your area and have them swege on a new rubber fuel hose. Tell them it needs to withstand about 100 psi of gasoline. For them, this is a low pressure hose and they will get you fixed for less than $20.

Harry, Great recommendation, thank you. I'm presently working on getting a used replacement from Tony. If this doesn't work out I will do so.

Harry, Not hearing from Tony, so I went to a Hydrauic hose shop with my fuel line and was informed that they are unable to replace the fuel hose and swege on a new collar. I asked if another shop could do this and he said they have the same parts and equipment and was advised to purchase a new one. Do yoy have any other options?

I can do this for you...........

in any length you need. However, I suggest buying a later filter with screw fittings on both ends and NOT using the slip on hose with a hose clamp.

Just about any combination you need can be made up w crimped ends that that eliminate the risk of hose clamps in hi pressure systems like CIS & EFI.

I can also adapt the Metric to AN fittings where needed....................

Please email me w any questions as my PM box is most always full.

Thanks,

fuel hoses

Len,

I would be interested in the rubber fuel hose at this time. I would need two separate ones. One being 6 inches and the other being 11 inches long.

Just want to make sure that the threaded nut ends will fit the accumulator fitting and the rubber ends would fit the metal fuel pipes.

I will need these two hoses ASAP. Please let me know on my questions and how do I purchase these hoses.

Stan-

The threads for your 73.5 should be 14 mm OD or a "scosh" over 1/2 inch. The correct hose ID for this is 7.5mm.

Later models use a 16mm thread and a hose ID of 9.3mm

I can make up two hoses & send them to you Priority Mail today.

Please email me with your contact info & confirm the 14mm threads & 7.5mm ID hose. You can also reach me at 1-800-356-914-6.

Stan,

You sent me a total of seven (7) messages. Four (4) on Septemper 3 but only one has 'something on it'. Then today, another (3) messages arrived and only the last one has a message about the fuel line. I wish you would check your sent messages folder so we could communicate better.

Len,
Thank you so much for your help. I hope that I can meet with you some day.

To all, I highly recommend Len's help and service. If it wasn't for HarryD and Pelican, we would have never made contact.

Thanks to all,
Stan

boy911SC. I received and answered all messages the same exact way each time. I'm sorry that you feel that I was advoiding you and not using the communication system correctly. There must have been a glich in the system on why you weren't receiving some of my responses. I do thank you for your help.
