types of fuel

sorry to bother everyone but i have a question that might have been answered some where else before if so please let me know where.

I have a 3.2 carrera and i use premium fuel which is 92 octane if i am not mistaken
from what i have been hearing its bad to use less than that on the engine, i would like to know if that's true. and also if it would be possible to use anything higher like close to 100 as a regular driving fuel or would it be bad for the engine or anything else.

so really what would be the pros or cons of using low octane fuel or high octane fuel

thank you all

92 is fine for regular driving. Too much octane is not good for performance. Too little can lead to detonation and preignition.

This link is of better use. Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada

Ethanol does horrible things to rubber lines over time.
