'90 911 hard start warm and oil gurgling

I have '90 911 c-4 and recently it has been seemingly loading up on restarts after warm. It starts with rough idle and as soon as I give it some throttle, it dies; wont start with foot to floor or pumping pedal. Then after 5-10 mins of intermittent tries; it starts with no problem.
Also, a minor irritation; after switching to 20-50w conventional oil to minimize oil leak at valve-cover(just enough to drip on exhaust and smell bad), I now have a gurgling sound in back seat. Sounds just like a fish tank. Oil level is an index finger below full mark when engine is warm.
